Ordering
You can order a free size band to help you find the right size. If you already have a ring, you can also use our size guide here.
1. Thread the end of the sizing tape through the buckle so that it forms a closed ring.
2. Place the sizing band around the finger the ring will be worn on. Tighten the band so that it fits comfortably, but with a little resistance over the knuckle – just like with a regular ring.
3. If the band slips off too easily, the ring may be too big. If the band is too tight or feels uncomfortable, try a larger size.
4. Look at the size band's magnifying glass to see your ring size.
Yes, many of our rings are designed to be combined. With information about model, width and material we can help you find a suitable ring. This information is available with each model.
In order for the rings to fit together beautifully, it is an advantage if the height of your rings matches, while the width and shape of the bar are more of a matter of taste. A classic choice and example of ring combinations is where the height of the rings is the same but the width is different.
If you don't want it perfect, edge to edge, but think that the asymmetrical design gives an inspiring expression, then choose something where the height and ring rail differ.
You can read more about combination rings here .
You are welcome to email info@schalins.com and tell us about your thoughts, if you have any ideas about how you want your combination ring to look. We are happy to help you with suggestions.
Schalins is sold at our authorized retailers which you can findhere.

If you choose to visit one of our authorized retailers, they can provide you with professional help and advice when ordering a Schalins ring.
It depends on the ring model, width and size. Some rings have limited space for engraving, such as an alliance ring where the diamond setting creates a hole on the inside, which reduces the space for engraving.
Some rings have limited space for engraving, for example an alliance ring with several diamonds set in it can have about 30 characters engraved in the ring. A plain ring without stones can have up to about 70 characters engraved.
Keep in mind that spaces, periods, and symbols also count as characters.

About our products
The best environmentally friendly gold is recycled gold, and therefore we have a close collaboration with Europe's largest supplier of precious metals, which also has Europe's largest and most modern facility specifically for the recycling of precious metals. Our supplier thinks long-term in terms of quality, environment and sustainability, and its entire production is therefore also certified according to both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
All fine gold in our rings is recycled and climate-compensated gold. We procure our precious metals from the Swedish company NSG Sweden AB, which works for a sustainable and responsible precious metals industry. Other gold used in the production process comes from so-called chest of drawers gold that is purified by the same company.
White gold is an alloy, i.e. a mixture of gold and other metals that gives the gold its white color. Usually palladium is added to gold to achieve the white shade, 18K white gold consists of 75% fine gold, 16% palladium while the remainder is made up of copper and zinc.
Our white gold rings are surface-treated with rhodium as standard. This surface layer gives the ring a brighter and whiter shade compared to the natural color of white gold, which is usually slightly grayer.
When rhodium plating is applied, the ring is treated in a rhodium bath, which gives the ring a high-gloss, white finish. To maintain this shade over time, we recommend that the ring is periodically returned to a retailer for refinishing and re-rhodium plating.
Yes, that's right, our diamonds are conflict-free and follow the Kimberley Process.
Our standard quality is WSI from 0.005 ct up to 0.035 ct and WVS from 0.04 ct for all brilliant cut (round) diamonds. However, a princess cut (square) diamond is always TWVS from us. Do you want a higher diamond quality?

Exact quality may vary between different collections and models and is specified at the time of purchase.
We offer Lab Grown in the North collection. You can find the collection here.
A lab-grown diamond is another term for a synthetic diamond, meaning a diamond that has been produced by humans instead of being formed naturally beneath the Earth's surface.
Lab-grown diamonds are produced by using various techniques to create the high pressures and temperatures required for the diamond to form. A common method is chemical vapor deposition (CVD), where a gas mixture is introduced into a vacuum chamber and exposed to high heat, leading to the formation of a diamond.
Another method is the high-pressure-high-temperature (HPHT) process, where a small piece of carbon is placed in a high-pressure chamber and subjected to high pressures and temperatures, causing it to melt and then form a synthetic diamond.
A lab-grown diamond should not be confused with cubic zirconia or synthetic moissanite. Both of these are synthetic stones that look like diamonds to the naked eye, but are not diamonds and lack many of the unique properties of diamonds.
If you want a larger diamond than your wallet allows, then Lab Grown is a good option.
In the North collection we challenge ourselves in terms of design with larger stones and exciting designs. You can of course get North models with natural diamonds, but we don't do the opposite in the other collections.
Yes — all our diamond rings come with a certificate that certifies the authenticity and quality of the ring. The certificate serves as your guarantee that both the gold and the diamond in the ring are precisely specified and of high quality. It certifies, among other things: The alloy/carat content of the ring, the quality and weight of the diamond, and the delivery date. For diamonds that are 0.50 ct or larger, regardless of whether they are natural or lab grown, an international certificate issued by a recognized and independent institute such as GIA, IGI or HRD is also included.
We recommend that you store the certificate in a safe place, as it is a valuable document that is important both for security and for future valuation and insurance.
If you are sensitive to certain metals, titanium or platinum, for example, may be a good alternative and are usually tolerated by most people.
The difference lies in the gold content. 18K contains 75% gold, 14K 58.5% and 9K 37.5%.
The higher the karat content, the higher the gold content and value. On Schalin's website, rings in 18K and 14K are offered.
Gold is mixed with other metals, such as copper and silver, to make the jewelry more durable. These metals also affect the color of the gold. More silver gives a brighter, yellower gold while copper gives a warmer or redder gold. 18K yellow gold is brighter than 9K red gold, for example.
We manufacture rings in red gold, white gold, yellow gold, platinum, palladium, silver and titanium. We also offer rose gold in multi-colored combinations. We do not manufacture all models in all metals. On each product you will see which metals are offered for that particular product.

In most cases, it is possible to add or change engraving afterwards, but it depends on the ring model and existing engraving.
Engraving is included with new orders. Subsequent engraving will incur a cost of 350 SEK.
The length of time it takes depends on the type of service or adjustment your ring needs. In most cases, it takes approximately 5-10 business days from the time we receive your ring until you can pick it up at your drop-off location.
If it involves a special call or a more advanced action, it may take a little longer. We will of course inform you of this in this case.

We recommend that you bring your ring in for service and inspection approximately once a year – or every two years, depending on the design of the ring and how often you wear it. To ensure your jewelry retains its luster and shape, we recommend that you:
• Remove jewelry when exercising, cleaning, and when in contact with chemicals, etc.
• Avoid wearing rings daily if you have a profession where you come into contact with hard materials and surfaces.
• Store your jewelry separately so they don't scratch each other. • Clean them regularly with lukewarm water and mild soap.
You are also always welcome to bring your jewelry to a retailer for professional cleaning. They can freshen it up right in store or help send your Schalins rings to us for refinishing.
Precious metals are relatively soft materials, which means they are not completely scratch-resistant. Even with normal everyday wear and tear, a ring can get small scratches. This also applies to metals like titanium and platinum – they are hard, but not immune to scratches.
All rings, even those with a surface treatment or high-gloss finish, will eventually get marks. Today's modern polishing technology means that the rings are delivered very shiny, which also makes the first scratches extra visible.
Rings are exposed to daily wear and tear: when you carry grocery bags, grab doorknobs, use kitchen utensils, work with paper, or simply use your hands in everyday life. Even applause can cause rings to bang against each other and leave marks.
Warranty & complaints
We do not offer our own insurance. We recommend that you take out jewelry insurance through your insurance company.
We offer a 2-year warranty on all our jewelry for events due to manufacturing defects. Our guarantee does not apply if you have made changes to the ring (such as resizing) by another goldsmith during the period.
If you have ordered your ring via schalins.com, you can contact our customer service. Make sure you have your order number ready. If you have ordered via one of our retailers, we ask you to contact them instead. If you experience a defect in your ring, we will help you further with an assessment and possible complaint.
