This is how you take care of your Schalinsring
Your ring should be able to be worn with pride every day for many years to come. But with daily use also comes wear and tear. We recommend regular cleaning of rings so that they retain their beautiful shine, but also that you check your rings so that they have no damage.
CLEAN YOUR RING YOURSELF
Many everyday tasks can contribute to the ring getting dirty, which in turn can cause the skin under the ring to become irritated and you can't see any wear on the ring as clearly. If you have a ring in gold and diamonds, you can easily clean your ring yourself using warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft toothbrush. The more you use your ring, the more often you should clean it. You can advantageously clean it every week.
1. Leave the ring in the warm water for about ten minutes together with a little washing-up liquid.
2. Brush lightly with the toothbrush to remove any dirt, being careful not to leave any stones loose.
3. Rinse the ring and let it dry before putting the ring back on your finger.
Other types of rings, such as rings with pearls or fake stones can be delicate to clean yourself. We therefore recommend that you always contact a goldsmith.
Dirt can sometimes be difficult to remove on your own. Contact one of our dealers if you would like help with this.
CHECK YOUR RING
In connection with cleaning your ring, it is good that you also check it. The wear and tear on your ring can vary, partly depending on the type of ring you have but also what your everyday life looks like. We recommend that you remove your ring if you are gardening, working with metals, exercising with tools or other activities where the ring may be subjected to stress.
Often it is the setting that gets damaged and if you go too long without checking your ring, a stone can eventually fall out. We recommend that you submit your ring for inspection at regular intervals to review the condition of the ring - approximately every two years. If you notice that a stone is loose, you should contact one of our dealers immediately and they will help you.
