Sustainability at Schalins

For Schalins, sustainability is an essential part of our business — environmentally, socially, and economically. It has long been a natural part of how we operate. Today, we are sustainability certified and report in accordance with CSRD requirements. As part of the publicly listed Storskogen Group, we follow strict guidelines and regulatory standards.

Sustainability is an ongoing journey with many challenges, but we have come a long way. Within our organisation, we maintain an equal gender distribution and bring together six different nationalities working side by side. We strongly value diversity and inclusion — believing they enrich our culture and foster creativity and innovation.

100% recycled fine gold. 100% fossil-free electricity. 100% conflict-free diamonds.

In our production, we use only fossil-free electricity, recycled fine gold, and conflict-free diamonds. We take a firm stance against diamonds whose trade contributes to conflict or unethical conditions.

Our diamonds are sourced from European suppliers based in Antwerp and are certified conflict-free according to the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS).

A Commitment to a Greener Future

At Schalins, sustainability is not just part of our strategy — it is at the core of who we are. We recognise our responsibility to protect the planet, promote fair working conditions, and ensure transparency throughout our supply chain.

By integrating sustainability into every aspect of our operations — from material sourcing and production to workplace culture and governance — we strive to create jewellery that not only symbolises love, but is crafted with care for the world around us.

Responsible materials. Ethical sourcing. Swedish craftsmanship.

A conscious choice — for today and for generations to come.

100% Recycled Fine Gold

We are proud to use 100% recycled fine gold in all our products. By reusing existing materials, we reduce the need for new mining — significantly lowering our environmental impact.

This helps protect natural landscapes and reduce carbon emissions, while ensuring that our jewellery remains both beautiful and responsibly made.

In fact, 50% of our metals are recycled directly within our own production — creating a circular process that keeps valuable resources in use and minimises waste.

100% Fossil-Free Electricity

Our production is powered entirely by 100% fossil-free electricity. This means that all the energy we use comes from renewable sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower.

This decision underscores our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and leading the way toward a more sustainable future.

100% Conflict-Free Diamonds

Every diamond we use is 100% conflict-free. We follow strict guidelines and ethical practices to ensure that our diamonds are responsibly sourced and traded.

By doing so, we support fair working conditions and help combat illegal trade and the financing of conflicts.

Brilliance you can wear — with confidence and integrity.

Diversity & Inclusion

At Schalins, our team reflects balance and diversity — half women, half men, representing six different nationalities. We value diversity and inclusion deeply, believing they enrich our workplace culture and foster creativity and innovation.

Reuse & Recycling

We strive to minimise waste by reusing and recycling materials throughout our processes. Responsible resource management is a natural part of how we operate every day.

Responsible Supplier Relationships

We collaborate exclusively with suppliers who share our sustainability values and actively work to reduce their environmental impact. Transparency and responsibility throughout the supply chain are essential to us.

Community Engagement

We engage in both local and global initiatives that support environmental protection and sustainable development. Contributing positively beyond our own operations is an important part of our responsibility.

Education & Awareness

We continuously work to increase awareness of sustainability issues among both our employees and our customers. Knowledge is a key driver of meaningful change.

At Schalins, we are dedicated to building a sustainable future — and proud to lead the way within our industry. Through our comprehensive sustainability efforts, we demonstrate that it is possible to run a successful business while making a positive impact on the world.

Our Goldsmith Workshop

At Schalins, we have crafted engagement and wedding rings since 1944 and are today proud to be one of the largest ring manufacturers in the Nordic region. Our goldsmith workshop is located in northern Sweden, where skilled artisans oversee every step — from design and alloying to stone setting, polishing, and engraving.

When we create your ring, we do so entirely from scratch, beginning the very day you place your order. Within a week, it leaves our workshop on its way to you.

That level of dedication is rare — and just one of many reasons to choose Schalins.
